TRANGKIL SUGAR FACTORY
PG Trangkil, as one of the sugar factories owned by PT KEBON AGUNG, has been established since 1835 and is located in Suwaduk Village, Wedarijaksa District, Pati Regency, approximately 75 km from the capital of Central Java Province and 11 km from the capital of Pati Regency, which is owned by H. Muller.
During the period of 1838-1841, the location of PG Trangkil moved to Desa Trangkil and was owned by PAO Waveren Pancras Clifford. From 1841 to 1917, the ownership of PG Trangkil changed several times, starting from P Andreas to Ny Ade Donariere EMSDA E. Janies van Herment.
Company History
PG Trangkil First Established
PG Trangkil was established earlier than PG Kebon Agung. This sugar mill was founded on December 2, 1835, in the village of Suwaduk, Wedarijaksa district, Pati regency. Initially, this mill was owned by H. Muller, a sugar milling entrepreneur. After Mr. Muller passed away, the ownership of the company was continued by Mr. P.A.O. Waveren Pancras Clifford. PG Trangkil has an installed milling capacity of 800 tons per day.
Factory Relocation
On October 24, 1838, the factory location was moved to the village of Trangkil, Wedarijaksa district, with a milling capacity of 3,000 kth or 300 tth. The PG location in the village of Trangkil is now part of the Trangkil district, which is located about 11 km north of the city of Pati towards Jepara.
Several Ownership Transfers of PG Trangkil Occurred
In 1841, the ownership of PG Trangkil changed hands again to Mr. P. Andreas. The company subsequently changed hands individually several times, and the last recorded owner is Mrs. Widow Ade Donariere EMSDA E. Janies van Herment.
PG Trangkil Transformed into a Corporation
In 1917, the ownership of PG Trangkil transformed into a corporation named Naamloze Vennootschap (NV) "Cultuur Maatchappy Trangkil," and its management was entrusted to the Representative Office of the NV Handel - Landbouw Maatchappy "Tiedeman & van Kerchem (TvK)" in Jakarta.
Increase in Milling Capacity
In 1921, the milling capacity was increased to 1,250 tons per hour.
Expansion of Milling Capacity
From 1974 to 1977, Rehabilitation, Expansion, and Modernization (RPM) were carried out to increase the milling capacity to 1,800 tons per hour.
Machine Renewal
From 1993 to 1995, a machine modernization was carried out, increasing the milling capacity to 3,200 tons per hour.
Factory Improvement and Efficiency
Until 2004, PG Trangkil carried out repairs and machine replacements to improve the stability of performance and efficiency of the factory, aiming for a milling capacity of 3,560 tons per hour.
Development Program of PT Kebon Agung
Since 2005, PG Trangkil has been implementing the Development Program of PT Kebon Agung with a target milling capacity of 4,500 tons per hour.
